Great bit of kit, perfectly balanced & strong

Excellent piece of kit

Bought this as an alternative solution to deadlifting as I was experiencing back pain probably through bad technique. Allows lifting in a much more natural position with this well balanced bar. The quality of the bar exceeded my expectations- really well built. Fast tracked delivery from Wolverson - never disappoints.

The best trap bar for UK/EU

I’ve always found using the trap bar is naturally better for my body. When I started my garage gym a trap bar was a must so the research began. Due to having limited space the open trap bar design enables more versatility for exercises and the built in jack feet makes adding/removing weight a breeze. I soon realised the USA has access to some great bars, importing one was out of the question due to high costs. I took the plunge on an open trap bar from another UK supplier due to it being cheaper than this Wolverson one, big mistake, the quality was shocking so it went back for a refund.

I then ordered this Wolverson Fitness open trap bar, what a difference! The quality/workmanship is a night and day difference. The bar weighs 30.5kg, nice chunky frame with generous length sleeves (45.5cm loading length) which means the majority of my plates can fit on. The sleeves are attached to the main frame via 2 bolts. The bar itself has two sets of handles, the upper ones are slightly thicker and are approx 80cm apart, the lower handles are approx 67cm apart. This really is my only concern with the bar, the distance between the handles are on the larger side. Luckily I’m 6ft3 so its not that bad and I’ve adjusted to it. However, my partner who is shorter doesn’t find it very natural to lift due to the width. The knurling also needs to be larger on the handles.

All in all though I believe this open trap bar to be the best within the UK/EU market. I will be recommending this bar.

Great bar!

Perfect bar for me in a limited space as it's not as wide as others, There are also some additional uses that made me pick this over wider rackable alternatives. There are some pieces of metal clanging around inside but Wolverson sorted me out. Fast becoming one of my favourite places to buy kit. Great kit and amazing service!!!

Just wow. Im not sure what more there is to say. Came well packaged (even had a little set of tools to put it together), looks great and works perfectly. Worth every penny.
