When someone visits www.wolverson-fitness.com.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. The Data Protection Act 1998 requires us to be open about our holding and use of personal data. It also entitles individuals to find out from us what personal data is held about them on computer, to have that information corrected or erased if it is inaccurate, and to claim compensation if they can prove they have suffered damage from an inaccuracy or breach of security. Wolverson Fitness is committed to upholding the eight Data Protection Principles of good information handling practice.
Ways we collect
1) Contact Forms and Cart/Checkout Emails - These use the customer's email, to send all the required information to Wolverson Team or to the Customer. That data is then used to provide Customer with the best shopping experience possible. If a user fills out any "Email" box on the website, it will create a record within the shop's database. Depending on the box filled, that record will be marked with either "Accepts Marketing" or "Does not accept Marketing".
2) All the information input during the checkout is used by Stripe (Shopify Payments) to prevent scam and ensure the security of the transaction for both parties (Wolverson and Customer). Please see Stripe website for more details about that.
3) If a user creates an Account on the website, he has a full view into all the data help in his database record, however he cannot remove most of it through the portal. To remove Customer fully, please contact Wolverson Team.
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Peter McGahan - email@example.com
