What is the story behind Mee Fit?
Mee Fit is a small group personal training facility. Prior to opening our latest location here in Shrewsbury, we operated as a single site in Whitchurch, Shropshire, for about 10 years. Last year, we decided it was time to expand, making Shrewsbury our second location.
We specialise in helping clients in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond improve their strength, fitness, body composition, and confidence. Everything we do is tailored specifically around that demographic.
Which equipment did you choose for the new space?
We wanted the gym layout to center around our custom TITAN racks. We chose a four bay TITAN rack system with built in storage racks between each station, which serves as the core base for our eight to one training model.
The racks house all of our main compound movements, such as squats, bench presses, and key barbell work, along with the primary accessories needed for each session. Additional equipment like benches and plyo boxes are kept along the perimeter. Keeping the equipment footprint tight gives our clients as much open floor space as possible to move freely, which is essential for our training style. The TITAN setup hit the mark perfectly.
How did Wolverson help you throughout your journey?
Wolverson were brilliant from start to finish. We first got in touch with them several months before our planned opening. As a local Shropshire based company, having them close to our sites in Whitchurch and Shrewsbury was a huge plus.
Jordan and James came down to visit the space, and we had a detailed chat about our requirements and vision. They provided initial 3D visualisations and mapped out the floor plan. As our plans evolved, Wolverson were extremely accommodating, quickly updating quotes and layout visuals whenever we requested tweaks.
When it came to installation, their team spent a week on site and had everything fully built and ready in just four days. The customer support from initial inquiry to final fitting was completely seamless.
