RESIDENTIAL GYM DESIGNS & INSTALLS

By combining the convenience of training at home with the necessary equipment to achieve your goals, our trusted team has been designing residential gyms for over a decade. During that time, we’ve shown our clients how to make the most of their space so they can lead an active lifestyle from the comfort of their homes. So, whether fitness is part of your profession or it allows you to decompress from your 9 to 5, we have the skills and experience to transform your spare living space into a functional and inspiring gym facility.

HOME GYMS

Home gyms are an incredible way to make efficient use of your free space whilst also combating your barriers to fitness and saving you money on your monthly gym membership. From professional athletes to stay-at-home parents, we’ve helped a diverse range of clients make daily exercise accessible within their homes.

GARAGE GYMS

Want the convenience of training at home but don’t want a gym in the house? Our garage gyms offer an excellent alternative! Fitted with all your favourite equipment, garage gyms offer the same level of privacy whilst still creating some separation between home and the gym.

APARTMENT GYMS

Apartment gyms are becoming increasingly desirable for those in the rental market. The convenience of having a gym in the building, with no need for a gym membership, can be the deciding factor for prospective tenants. With the ability to also increase the value of your property, creating an inclusive gym space has never been easier with Wolverson Fitness.

RESIDENTIAL GYM DESIGN FAQS

The best location for your gym will vary depending on your property and the space you have available to you. However, here are some key things to consider when making this decision:

Structural support: if you’re looking to install heavy weights, barbells and rigs within your home, you’ll need to opt for a ground-floor location. However, if you’re opting for light free weights or designing a gym for an apartment building, you have more flexibility.

Noise levels: listening to music, lifting weights and even using cardio equipment can all generate a fair bit of noise. If you want to avoid this entirely, we’d recommend opting for a garage gym. Otherwise, we suggest locating your gym away from any bedrooms.

Ventilation: training with little ventilation can be humid and uncomfortable. Over time, this can even contribute to mould or mildew, so opting for a well-ventilated space is preferable.

Whether you’re working with a small spare room or a spacious garage, we can maximise your space to create the gym you’ve always wanted.

The cost of your gym design will vary depending on:

The scope of the project – if you’re starting from scratch, it’s likely you’ll need to invest more than if you were upgrading an existing gym space.

The size of the space – the smaller the space, the fewer resources we’ll need, making smaller gyms less expensive than their larger counterparts.

Equipment requirements – the type and volume of equipment required to stock your gym will also impact the cost of your fit-out.
