Wolverson Tri-Grip PU Olympic Weight Plates

These are nicely made and well finished, with a nice clean, minimalist look and a stainless steel centre insert. I do like them a lot. But I’m dropping a star because I do think the design could be improved slightly, by making one tiny change - The plates have a continuous raised lip around the edge. If this was taken back, to be flush with the body of the plates, where the handles are, it would 1) Make the handles easier to grip for people with smaller hands (that’s not me). And. 2) More importantly, give a slight undercut to grip the handles, when adding and removing plates from any vertical loading pin. As it is, when stacked, the plates fit completely flush with each other. I only bought the 5kg plates, to expand my existing heavier weight plates (from other manufacturers) and at that weight it isn’t an issue. But unloading vertically stacked 15kg/20kg/25kg plates would be a constant annoyance! So, though I will probably buy some 10kg plates in the future, I won’t be buying the heavier plates, as the design stands at the moment. Shame, because I really like everything else about these plates.
